Hello, and welcome to another episode of the Red Couch Theology podcast. Hey, today on the podcast, we're talking about emotional journeys and dealing with our past and all sorts of things. We also deal with a few questions from you, quite a few questions from you about that process and what it means to be a member at South and a question from the previous week. So that sounds very convoluted, but we'll dive right into the episode, and you'll find out as we go.

Hello, and welcome to another episode of the Red Couch Theology Podcast. Hey, this week, we talked about how you should probably skip ahead to about 30 minutes into the episode because that's when the substance happens. I'm just joking. We did talk a little bit about how Alex rudely insulted Broncos fans. We talked about the nature of blessing at the end of the episode. But in the core, we wrestled with this challenge of, are we supposed to be, you know, are we supposed to be ourselves or are we supposed to be transformed? Which one is it? And how do we know? And when and all of these sorts of questions about our own identities? And I think it was an insightful conversation. You'll have to decide for yourself.

Well, hello and welcome to another episode of the Red Couch Theology podcast. Hey, we're back for the New Year. We're so excited for another year of this podcast. And this week, we're actually talking about blessing this past Sunday. We actually blessed every person in the congregation. And so, on this week's episode, we're talking about what's going on when we bless someone. Is there power in that? Why would God allow us to transform people's reality with our words? And is that actually what's going on? These are the questions we deal with this week on the episode without any further ado; let's dive in and have a Happy New Year.

Hello, and welcome to another episode of the Red Couch Theology podcast. Hey, today we have a guest on our show. It's Dan Elliott, our community care pastor. He's been around here for a while. If you don't know him, he's awesome. He preached on Sunday, and we talked about Isaiah 40, this beautiful and yet strange passage. We also are going to talk about. Why is it that Christians continue to celebrate all of these pagan-connected rituals like Christmas trees and such? Yeah, why do we celebrate those things? And is it OK for us to celebrate with Christmas trees and candles and lights and all of these things that are rooted in pagan traditions? Yeah, without any further ado, let's dive into this week's episode.

Hello, and welcome to another episode of the Red Couch Theology Podcast. This week in our episode, we'll be diving into the subject of advent and why in the world do we follow the lectionary at this season in advent, this particular year? And what is up with the church calendar? We're going to cover that. We'll also briefly cover the interpretation of scripture because one of you wrote a great question about the book of Isaiah. Can we even apply that to our lives directly? It's not even written to us, and we talk about that. So tune in.
